Dr Ruhrmund founded Bethel Animal Clinic in 1976. Prior to 1976, Dr. Ruhrmund practiced for 3 years in Cleveland at Woodmere Animal Hospital. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University Veterinary School in 1972 after graduating from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology in 1966. Dr. Ruhrmund brings a passion for animals to his work that is rare, and has been the proud owner of 5 dogs, 8 cats and a guinea pig over the 37 years he has worked at Bethel Animal Clinic. He has been active in the New Carlisle community throughout his career and raised 2 children in New Carlisle. He is currently active in his church and in the New Carlisle Community Chorus, and enjoys gardening when he isn’t taking care of your animals at work.
Mindy has worked at Bethel Animal Clinic since 2005. She has lived in New Carlisle her whole life. When she was young, Mindy’s family used to bring their animals to Bethel Animal Clinic, and Mindy always hoped one day she could work with animals. Mindy feels she is very lucky to be able to work in her home town and have a job she loves. Mindy also grew up on a small farm, so she has many animals ranging from cats and dogs to goats and horses.
